"Talk about Tuesday with BRM "Romance or Hopeless"
No Drama just everyday life
I came to the conclusion a long time ago, that I’m a flirt… and if it was a crime I make sure I get away with it all the time. With that said there’s an imaginary line you don’t cross. The rules of courtship are similar except you don’t touch and you don’t go passed joking about seeing each other naked. So problem in all relationships has formed a pattern. I am for lack of a better term paid to be a cereal flirt, meaning I work with models and to go a whole photo shoot without saying they look attractive in some way would get no smiles and the dear in headlights look. You can say someone is attractive without the desire to sleep with them and still be considered “interesting”.
Hence the reason this comes to mind, every time I seem to find someone who is a “Flirt” like me, we get along just fine until they realize I’m just being nice ie gentlemen. You catch a lot more Bee’s with Honey then with Salt, so my personal opinion doesn’t matter you can find something interesting or unique about almost anyone. Beauty is in the “Eye” of the beholder has several meanings that capture more then if someone is tall enough, slim enough, or smart enough to keep your professional vs personal attention.
Now those who know me, might have figured out I know plenty of people of the opposite sex and that might be tempting to go on flirt marathon giving and receiving compliments. Except “Attention” is not my addiction, nor is alcohol in case you were wondering we who flirt in this business do it as often as possible to fish for someone who appreciates our kind words. None the less certain people wonder if this means more, but to the one person it does…us Romantics try and take it a step further.
The song goes, I know you think this is about you… goes the same for a poets pen… I’ve been a poet for over a decade and so it’s my way of expression. I theme this like I do everything with just a hint to whom has discovered that old TLC song… As long as you know…I can have anyone…but I choose you. I know there are a few who will respond just because i’m speaking from the heart. Some who will read this and figure out their not the one. Others who will soon discover the meaning behind the words when they can’t decide to leave, stay or go. As the saying goes, don’t go away mad…just go away and maybe one day you will get it. A promise kept is one that a gentlemen, who isn’t questioning, but just telling you a story. The most insecure and jealous people, often are guilty of crossing the line themselves if not given a reason to think your “Helpless” or that it’s all just the feelings of “Romance”.

ONE REPUBLIC IS MY SEX
I was writing
Thinking with my long hand
Put pen to paper
Everything was sinking
Then you start to wonder
How you gonna handle me?
When I’m under
Swimming in the dark sea
Everybody wants you to make it
Its all yours
Everybody wants to take it
Its all yours
Everybody wants you to make it
Its all yours
Everybody wants to T-t-t-take it
Can you feel all the love
Can you feel all the love?
Can you feel all the love
Can you feel all the love?
Like it was made for you
Like it was made for you…
Tell me something
Something that can move me
Dont tell me lies
Or I swear you’re gonna lose me
Guilty? like an ocean
Jealous of the fish it feeds
Your devotion
Swimming inside of me
Everybody wants you to make
Its all yours
Everybody wants to take
Its all yours
Everybody wants you to make
Its all yours
Everybody wants to T-t-t-take it
[Can you feel all the love
Can you feel all the love?
Can you feel all the love
Can you feel all the love?]
Like it was made for you
Like it was made for you…
Can you feel
Can you feel?
Can you feeeel?
All the right friends in all the right places
All the right moves and all the right faces
All the right friends in all the right places
All the right moves and all the right faces
[Can you feel all the love]
All the right friends in all the right places
All the right moves and all the right faces
[Can you feel all the love]
All the right friends in all the right places
All the right moves and all the right faces

Picture of the Week #4
[Click on the image to uncensor it, i.e. to see it as it was originally intended, but beware the naughtiness within...]
OK, adults only for this one. Spectacular Attractions is usually a family show, but this is a different kind of Friday. Here, go and look at Pinocchio, or possibly the Muppets.
A frame grab from Stanley Kubrick’s final film, Eyes Wide Shut. Kubrick died shortly after completing the film, having promised to deliver an R-rated movie (apparently, he watched a bunch of Hollywood’s more sexually explicit films in order to gauge what would be considered acceptable to receive such a rating). The sequence in which Tom Cruise visits a masked orgy was considered to be NC-17 territory, a rating which ostensibly marks something out as unsuitable for children, but which actually decreases its chances at the box office, rejection by self-righteous finger-waggers and unwarranted controversy from a wide variety of spoilsports. However, although MGM surely would have just snipped out the relevant glimpses of humping, they found themselves hidebound by their commitment not to re-edit or cut a frame of Kubrick’s footage. What to do? The simple answer would be to suck it down and release the film unadjusted, take the reduced box office safe in the knowledge that you hadn’t compromised the artistic vision of a man on whose name you’d been happily trading for years. Alternatively, you could take some digital people and graft them onto the film to cover up those dangerous bits of flesh. Very clever – loyal to the exact wording of their commitment to Kubrick, but actually snuffing out the spirit of it in one quick application of polygons. The result can be seen in the image above.
Barbara Creed saw this as an advance notice of the coming age of the synthespian, when human actors would routinely be replaced by digital substitutes. She suggested that as they took over, we might have to change the way we relate to people onscreen, since the virtual actor would have no Unconscious, and thus not be “subject to the same experience as the living star, experiences such as mothering, Oedipal anxiety, hunger, loss, ecstasy, desire, death.” But then, she also predicted that porn stars, already artificially augmented beyond the realms of realism, could be doubled by virtual actors. It all sounded a bit William Gibson to me, and this week’s picture instead made it look as though digital people were just going to show up in films where they weren’t wanted and spoil everyone else’s view.

California Employment Lawyers Have An Arsenal of Laws to Help Laid Off Employees Seek Damages and Severance Packages
California Employment Lawyers have never have had so many tools to help the newly fired either to win damages for discrimination or to seek a better severance package, including not only a longer period of pay benefits, but also other items, most important of which can be a longer period of health insurance benefits following the termination.
If you have an employment or labor law issue in California, visit our law firm website at http://www.SebastianGibsonLaw.com for more information and call us at any of the numbers easily found on our website.
In light of the increased number of people being laid off in California, from Orange County to San Diego, it is no surprise that there is an increase in the number of ex-employees looking either to file an employee discrimination lawsuit or who are seeking guidance of a California Employment lawyer to negotiate their severance package based upon claims of discrimination or retaliation. In areas such as the Palm Springs and Palm Desert area where unemployment is well above 12%, there is palpable fear among those who have already lost their jobs and those afraid of losing their jobs in the near future.
For employees who have been discriminated against and who might have previously been afraid to take such actions for fear of how it would affect their job hunting prospects, many now feel they have nothing to lose and need the safety net of even a few more weeks or months of severance pay when they are let go.
Some employees are filing class action lawsuits based on everything from age and sex discrimination to discrimination against veterans. Individual claims are being made for overtime pay that the employees never received and retaliation for whistle blowing or reporting harassment.
One of the best tools an employment lawyer has is often the employee’s company manual and other memos of the company which often lay out glowing descriptions of how fair the company will be in their employment practices. Such manuals often describe all of the types of actions which the company claims they will not tolerate including the various forms of harassment and how the company will never take a retaliatory action against anyone blowing the whistle on harassment at the company.
Such manuals provide a powerful tool to the employee and the employment lawyer to show the company exactly how they violated not only the law, but also the company’s own employment guidelines. Faced with such violations of the principles the company itself laid down and promised to their employees, it is difficult for such companies to argue that they didn’t realize how they were supposed to respond to an employee’s reports of harassment or that they didn’t know they couldn’t fire someone for making such reports.
Employees must keep in mind that under California law, complaints alleging discrimination or retaliation must be filed with the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement in California within six months of the alleged discriminatory or retaliatory action by an employer, except in certain circumstances.
Some of the laws enforced by the Labor Commissioner in the State of California which prohibit discrimination and retaliation include discrimination or retaliation for threatening to file a complaint with the Labor Commissioner, for taking time off to serve as a juror, be a witness in court or to attend judicial proceedings related to being a victim of a crime or related to a victim, for discharging victims of domestic violence, for taking time off to seek medical or psychological treatment related to domestic violence or a sexual assault, for taking time off to go to a child’s school at the request of a teacher, for disclosing his or her wages, for engaging in political activity, for being a whistle blower (not the real whistles), for being paid less than employees of a different sex for the same work unless based on a bona fide factor other than sex, or for complaining about safety or health conditions.
For California Employment Lawyers who are also Women’s Rights Lawyers, when President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 in late January, he remedied a great injustice and provided employment and women’s rights attorneys with yet another tool in our arsenal to fight for employee’s and women’s rights.
Now women in California and the rest of the nation have a law that gives them the ability to redress the wrong suffered upon them by society in allowing men to receive more money for the same work from an employer and limiting the rights of women to bring a claim for pay discrimination.
In the past, women were required to file suit within 180 days after first being paid unfairly, even if the discrimination of being paid less than male workers in the same jobs continued. And if a woman failed to discover that male workers were being paid more for the same work, a woman still could not hold her employer accountable if she didn’t learn of the unfairness and take action within 180 days of first being paid the lesser rate.
Under the Fair Pay Act of 2009 signed into law by President Obama, the statute of limitations of 180 days starts with each discriminatory paycheck, rather than when the employer starts to discriminate. So long as a woman in CA files her claim within 180 days of receiving any discriminatory paycheck, not just the first one, she is considered timely in bringing her claim.
An important aspect of the Act is that the effective date of the Act is retroactively set at May 28, 2007, which will allow it to apply to all compensation discrimination claims that have been filed on or after that date.
Women can sue for back pay awards for up to two years before she files her employment discrimination claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Fair Pay Act of 2009 does not change the two-year back pay limit.
Under the Act, an unlawful practice occurs when a discriminatory compensation decision or other practice is adopted, when a person becomes subject to the decision or practice, or when a person is affected by the decision or practice, including each time wages, benefits or other compensation is paid.
California also has it’s own version of the Federal WARN Act which in certain circumstances requires 60 days warning before laying off workers. Under the 2003 California version of the Act, the requirement of 60 days warning applies to establishments with 75 or more employees who have been employed for at least 6 of the previous 12 months, who layoff or relocated 50 or more employees within a 30-day period. There are also various exceptions to the rule.
For the elderly employee laid off, an important ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court has given added protection to older workers. Elderly persons who file employment discrimination lawsuits no longer need to prove that an employer acted intentionally. It is enough that the employee can prove that the layoffs had a disparate effect on the elderly workers.
Layoffs of caregivers providing care to sick family members may also violate federal law.
And all of these tools are still in addition to the tools an employment litigation lawyer has against employers who practice discrimination based on sex, religion, race, age, or sexual orientation, or who subject their workers to a workplace that constitutes a hostile environment.
It is thus imperative that an employee being laid off who is provided with a separation agreement and release of all claims against his employer consult with an employment attorney to determine if there weren’t violations of any of these laws and others that can assist the employee and his or her attorney to negotiate a larger severance package.
If you’ve been discriminated against in your employment and laid off as a result of that discrimination, visit our law firm website at http://www.SebastianGibsonLaw.com and call the law offices of Sebastian Gibson today.

The veneer of full sentences

Pushing his cock

Hitting the internet

This is it he thinks
and it is – the road

a huge young cock
still hanging

What goes up must come down
January-February 2006
Philly Matt and I wanted to make our relationship work, and yet, our problems as a couple were mounting:
1. The base at which he worked was closing. With each passing week, he worked less and less hours. That translated to less income, and that understandably made him feel both stressed and depressed.*
2. When someone I care about is in need, I want to help in any way possible. Need a loan? Done. Need help with your resume? Send me a copy. Need someone to talk to? Just pick up the phone. Need to crash at my place until you figure out the next steps? Here’s a key.
But, our approaches to this situation were far from aligned. Philly Matt didn’t want my help. Period. Some nights that meant that we didn’t go out at all because he couldn’t pay for us, which frustrated us both in our own ways. I tried to get him to understand that we were a couple and that everything would balance out in the end, but my words fell on deaf ears.
(A part of me wishes that he would’ve let me help him out, but I didn’t get where he was coming from back then. Through him, I learned that for many men, being the provider isn’t just a goal, but a necessity. And, a job isn’t just their job, but a large part of their identity.)
3. His upcoming post in Qatar took on a larger-than-life proportion. Philly Matt was scheduled to leave for duty with the Air Force Reserves in five weeks, and we didn’t know whether the assignment would be for 3 months or a year!
I began to nag him regularly about where our relationship was going. I wanted to know what would happen when he returned from Qatar. I didn’t care to remain faithful to him without any face-to-face interaction for a year and then end up in exactly the same place that we were now. I wanted to meet his kids, stop doing this long distance thing, and really be a couple. Or, I wanted him to cut me loose. But, instead, he just kept telling me,
“I can’t plan that far ahead. We’ll get there eventually, but I need to go to Qatar and come back and then we can figure things out.”
Maybe if I had a different personality, I could have tabled the topic for a while. But, I didn’t and I couldn’t. So, I kept bringing it up again…and again.
I was (surprisingly) able to put my worries aside during our group’s ski trip to Pennsylvania. We rented a huge house, and everyone spent much of the weekend, eating, drinking and laughing so hard that our stomachs hurt. (Oh, and a few people actually hit the slopes, too.)
For those four days, I stopped wondering what would happen in the future and just enjoyed being with Philly Matt in the present. Our bedroom was incredibly romantic, and we put the room to very good use. Whenever I doubted why we were still together, he would kiss me…or rub my ears and twirl my hair…or let me fall asleep in his arms, and everything made sense again.
Matt wasn’t an anal aficionado like I was so I was surprised when he asked me on Sunday morning if I had brought any lube.
“Of course!” I exclaimed with a smile on my face, as I reached into my bag.
After I put some lube on his cock, I kissed him again, guided his cock into my ass and started riding.
I was close to cuming when he said,
“Umm…your nose is bleeding.”
“No, it’s not!”
“What? No, it is.”
“It IS?!?” I screamed and jumped off of him.
He started cracking up, and it was so ridiculous that I had to join in. Damn altitude!
We tried to figure out why I would play it off like he was wrong when he was looking right up at my face. I guess I had hoped that I didn’t have a nose bleed or that it wasn’t a big deal because I really didn’t want to stop fucking him. From sexy to dorky in less than 60 seconds, huh?
A few minutes later, my nose stopped bleeding, and I could get back to the task at hand (or would it be, ass?). Thankfully, the rest of the act went off without a hitch.
When we headed back to DC on Monday, I was still smiling from our amazing weekend! Before Philly Matt got into his car to drive home, we hugged and kissed on 37th Street for a good 10 minutes.
I walked upstairs to my place, started unpacking and proceeded to bawl my eyes out. We only seemed to work when we were together. And, in five weeks, he was leaving for Qatar, and I still didn’t know where we stood.
We were up (so high that I got a nose bleed), and now we were down. I didn’t know if I had the heart to stay on this ride for much longer.
* I am still close to Philly Matt. When I talked to him last week, I asked him whether I could write about these very personal topics. He said that he would never fault me or stop being my friend for being honest, even if I wrote about matters that might put him in a negative light. I don’t think that most men would be okay with that, and it’s a testament to him that he is. Matt, I am so thankful to have you in my life! xoxo

Sex As Spirit
What is spirit? Spirit according to the sages is the breath, and the breath is spirit and spirit is energy. We can’t live past 4 minutes without breath/spirit/energy. When conducting my sexual encounters I am very aware of the raising of energy between my partner and I because we are electrical beings, conductors of tremendous energy. We are universal principles housed in physical forms. When we connect as man and woman an electrical (positive/negative) magnetic current is generated. The mythos of the Goddess Shakti and her consort Shiva says that when they made love they created and destroyed worlds! This is spirit/energy at its most powerful. Because I understand this, there is never a time when I engage in sex without taking the energy generated and directing it out into the universe towards my goals and objectives. Through our passions our desires are seeded and eventually given birth to (by the feminine principle) on the physical plain whether intentionally or unknowingly. Each time we engage we manifest something whether good or bad. This is when our creativity really takes place. I think that to engage and not utilize the powerful energy that our spirits generate together is somewhat wasteful and a disservice to our own sexuality. Imagine what the planet would be like if we took issues like global warming, famine, war, racism, misogyny to our bedrooms and collectively directed the energy towards positive change on this planet! Now that we’ve sated ourselves on mundane pleasures (because pleasure is always there to be experienced, hopefully!) let us put into practice the true power of the act. Let us put away repression of the self and others, the religious moralistic ideologies, the double standards, fears and judgements and utilize the energy for healing and assension. This is the hidden nature and magick of sex.

Past, Present and Future GregE
As we reflect and look at what we have accomplished and who we have become,
we must embrace all aspects of our personal journeys.
Keeping in appreciation…
Free from guilt, rewarded in accomplishments, and accepting of the now, that is happening.
Know that what you feel you are, you are, you truly are.
Receive, only if it is positive, all that is not, is not of God source and a lie..
Remember in the story books, Good always wins, with that attitude, so will we!
loving continued lightworker and healer Grege

Sex according to perfume commercials!
The title sort of says it all. In my last post I talked about being embarrassed by sex-related Elton John lyrics in front of my parents. Never mind that. Any American household worth its puritanical foundation will swiftly change the channel should one of these 30-60 second pieces of filthy deviant excess interrupt a wholesome TV-watching experience:
Warning: You will, upon watching all of these in succession, climax repeatedly.

Tim Challies on Sexual Detox
Tim Challies has an excellent blog and is one you should subscribe to if you aren’t already. Tim offers up an excellent series of blog posts on sex, pornography, addiction, etc. These are excellent and should be read by all the guys/anyone in ministry. Nice work Tim! We need to encourage our young people before they get themselves in trouble rather than after. Too many people go into adolescents and adulthood uninformed from a Christian point of view and cling to the only information available to them – the destructive and deadly message of the world in regard to sex and sexuality. Here are the posts. Have a look:

Book Marketing Buzz: Book Promotion & Publicity Tips: How to Promote Your Books with Relationship Expert Barbora Knobova
Book Marketing Buzz: Book Promotion & Publicity Tips: How to Promote Your Books is a continuing series to help authors learn how to promote their books. If you would like to be a guest blogger for our book promotion and publicity series, click here.
Today’s guest blogger is Barbora Knobova, author of Tales for Delicious Girls.
Guest Post:
Whether you’re writing your first book or your tenth, the process is never easy. It’s full of challenges, obstacles and frustrations, but every author knows that writing is probably the most fulfilling and rewarding activity in the whole world. Many first-time authors think that after they’ve finished their masterpiece, they can relax, sit back and enjoy the fruit of their labor. However, getting your book to readers is the most difficult task that every author faces.
Good book marketing needs a plan and you should start planning your campaign even before your book is published. I suggest you read two books that taught me everything I needed to know about book publicity: Red Hot Internet Publicity by Penny Sansevieri and Book Promo 201 by Nikki Leigh. When I first read these books I found them totally overwhelming because I felt like I had to do at least two thousand things every day. However, not everything works for every author and for every book and you should give it some time, think about it and discover what really works for your book, for your genre, and what doesn’t.
Build a website. Your website is your internet business card and your homepage is your billboard. Your website should contain all the necessary information but it should not overwhelm and stress visitors. Some websites have endless menus and so much information that visitors find the whole concept confusing and leave the site without even reading your information. Keep it clear, keep it brief, keep it friendly. And don’t forget to add your media room with updated information and downloadable files. You can check out my website http://www.barboraknobova.com for inspiration. I’ve been getting lots of praise on it and I think it contains everything that a good website should contain. At least that’s what I’ve been told.
Start a blog. A blog is the easiest way to get your message to readers, it’s easily maintained and updated. Make sure to publish new posts regularly (usually when I have some time on my hands, I write a few blog posts in advance for future use, it saves time). Blog about your book, post excerpts, blog about what it is like to be a writer. There are so many options.
Use social media. I’m not sure whether social media like Twitter, Facebook and others really sell books but they definitely expose you to your niche if you use them wisely and they fill the internet with your message. Nikki Leigh, a social media expert (http://www.nikkileigh.com), has taught me so much about social media and about how to use them wisely and effectively. Her knowledge and expertise is priceless.
Get reviews. Many authors say that getting reviews is hard but it’s not as hard as it may seem. There are many keen readers that blog about books and are happy to review yours. Search the internet and also look for Amazon reviewers that review your genre. Most of them have a blog where you can contact them and ask them to read your book. Paid reviews are also an option, and not a bad one. Many people think that paid reviews are worthless, which is a common misconception. If you pay for a review it means that you will receive an honest review, it doesn’t mean that you will receive a positive review. It’s frustrating to pay for a review and then receive a bad one but that’s how it works. At least it creates a buzz around your book and makes people curious.
Get on the radio. I love Blog Talk Radio. There are so many wonderful hosts that interview authors and talk about books. When you see a show you like, contact the host and ask him/her to consider your book. You can also contact Kelly Wallace (http://www.authorautobahn.webs.com/), a wonderful lady who not only hosts her own show but also organizes radio show tours for authors. She will choose the right shows for you, contact the hosts and take care of the details. She also offers lots of free promotion opportunities and other services that are worth checking out.
Use Amazon.com to market your book. Amazon offers many opportunities for authors to get in front of their readers. Build your Author’s Page and blog, be active in discussions about your topic. Review books that are similar to yours. Be creative, Amazon is a great networking place for authors.
Organize a Virtual Book Tour or have it organized by those who really know how do to it. A VBT is a unique and very effective way to connect with your readers and generate sales. I work with Dorothy Thompson from Pump Up Your Book (http://www.pumpupyourbookpromotion.com) on my tour and I’m nothing but impressed. Dorothy is diligent, creative, helpful, she goes the extra mile. She understands authors, she understands books, she understands the market and she understands her job. Besides, she’s such a sweetheart and a wonderful friend.
Be reasonable about how much money you spend on book promotion. Start learning as much as you can about book marketing and soon you will find out that you can do many things yourself. This may save you thousands of dollars. Every author needs to invest into book marketing but it doesn’t mean you should use your life savings and end up broke. Set aside a budget and stick to it.
There are three important things I’ve learned about book promotion and I think every author should keep them in mind. One, don’t sell the book. Sell what your book can do for the reader. Two, be polite and never forget to thank those who have reviewed your book, hosted you on their blog or radio show. Make sure they know you appreciate their effort. And three, have fun with your book promotion. If you have written a good book, sooner or later it will find its way to readers.
